This is my eleventh year teaching at Harlan Middle School and I am looking forward to another great year! This will be my 16th year of teaching math. I am married to a Harlan alum, Jason Jackson, and we have 2 wonderful children, a 13 year old daughter and a 11 year old son.

********IMPORTANT TO KNOW********

IF YOUR CHILD MAKES AN F ON A HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT, THEY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO REDO THAT ASSIGNMENT TO IMPROVE THEIR GRADE.  THE REDO OF THE ASSIGNMENT SHOULD TAKE NO LONGER THAN 2 DAYS TO TURN BACK IN TO ME.  

WE WILL TAKE NOTES AND DO EXAMPLES IN A FOLDABLE.  YOUR CHILD SHOULD BRING THIS HOME WITH THEM WHEN THEY HAVE HOMEWORK IN CASE THEY GET CONFUSED.  PARENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HELP WITH HOMEWORK - THE FOLDABLE/NOTES/EXAMPLES DONE IN CLASS IS TO HELP THEM AT HOME.  THIS FOLDABLE IS DUE AT THE END OF EVERY UNIT AND COUNTS AS A PARTICIPATION GRADE OF 100 POINTS.
