The Harlan Independent School District would like to remind our families that we will not be having in-person instruction the week of January 4th-8th, 2021.
Teachers will be using January 4th-8th, 2021 as a recovery/catch up week focused on identified students and families. Appointments and targeted on-site support initiatives have already been scheduled and will continue during the entire week providing our teachers and students an opportunity to ensure a successful transition into the 2nd semester.
Food services deliveries will continue on our regular schedule during the week of January 4th-8th.
If your child is experiencing any difficulties with Virtual Learning or our Hybrid In-Person Learning models, this week is designed to offer them an opportunity to connect and RECOVER.
Beginning on Monday, January 11th, 2021 students who are participating in the Hybrid In-Person learning model will return to school on their normal (Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/Friday) routine. Students engaged in the Virtual Model will continue their normal routines as well.
As we have done in the past, The Harlan Independent School District plans to continue to provide In-Person instruction for all students until a local outbreak of positive Covid 19 tests impacts our student body or staff members.
Should that happen in the near future, all students participating in Hybrid In-Person learning will simply transition to NTI/Dragon Day remote learning.

If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment with your school please call 606-573-8700 Monday through Friday from 8:00-3:30 PM. We are eager to help our students and families during this time.
We wish all of our families a Happy New Year!
