Update 12/10/2020:  Unfortunately, due to  our COVID-19 hybrid schedule, we are unable to offer Beginning Band at this time.  We plan to resume this class as soon as we can return to a normal, 7 period day.

Beginning Band is a class designed to teach students how to play a musical instrument.  This class is for students with very little or no instrumental experience.  Students may choose from a variety of wind and percussion instruments, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, and snare drum/bass drum.

Beginning Band students will have several performances throughout the year.  These include the Harlan Christmas Parade, the Harlan Independent District Christmas concert, and the Harlan Middle/High School Bands Christmas and Spring concerts.  Students are expected to attend all performances.
