Description:

Intermediate Band is a performance-based for students who already have 1-2 years experience playing a wind or percussion instrument. This class helps students develop their skills as a music reader, as well as develop tone and technique on their instrument.

Intermediate Band students will perform several times a year, including the Harlan Christmas Parade, the Harlan Independent District Christmas concert, and the Harlan Middle/High School Bands Christmas and Spring concerts. There is also the possibility that the Intermediate Band will perform at the KMEA Spring Assessment Event. This depends on the instrumentation of the group and the ability level of the group members, which varies from year to year.
