New Bus Route

On behalf of the Harlan Independent School District,

We are pleased to announce that we are adding a third bus route to our district. While we are not expanding our current routes, we are hopeful that by offering this third route we will be able to more efficiently transport our students to and from school. This will make the ride time for our students less, and we are also hoping to ease some of the traffic congestion at the schools both in the morning and the afternoon.

Our new driver, Brian Toll, will be offering a route that will offer stops at the movie theater, Woodland Hills, Bailey Hill at Creech Chevrolet, Anna Lee Apartments, Kelly Street Baptist Church, and the Civic Center in town. Below you will find the estimated times for the pickups on the new route.

Morning Route:

  • Movie Theater - 7:05

  • Woodland Hills - 7:10

  • Bailey Hill/Vape Shop - 7:15

  • Anna Lee Apartments - 7:18

  • Kelly Street Baptist-7:20

  • Civic Center Parking Lot- 7:25

The civic center parking lot addition to our route will allow parents that want to avoid the traffic congestion in the mornings and afternoons to opt to have their children transported to and from the school via the school bus. We are excited to offer this solution for our parents.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the Harlan Independent Schools for help.

Thanks,

Frank Shope
