Students in Ms. Wilson’s Health & PE classes recently had a visit with Mrs. Billie from FRYSC. She talked with each class about the importance of keeping our hands clean in order to help them stay healthy. She brought her GlitterBug Hand Show to help students really understand how germs are everywhere at all times. Each student had the opportunity to see their hands under the light before and after washing their hands. It was a very eye opening experience for some of them. They really enjoyed their visit with Mrs. Billie! 🦠🦠

🐉Harlan Elementary Unite Club is hosting a canned food drive to support Christ Hands and make a big difference in our community this holiday season! Here’s the challenge: Each grade will be assigned a specific type of canned good to bring in, and the grade that donates the most by Friday, November 22, will win a PIZZA PARTY! 🍕🥫

Mrs Stapleton’s second-grade rotation class has started their unit on the states of matter. Recently, they measured and mixed ingredients for microwaveable chocolate chip cookies. They refrigerated their mixes overnight and then microwaved them. By their reactions, those cookies were great! 🍪🍪🧑🍳

Students learned about fire safety at school, and then completed tasks at home such as practicing home fire drills. One student from each grade level received a home fire extinguisher for completing their family assignment. Thank you to all our families who participated!
