🐉 Congratulations to Our New Cross Country Coach! 🐉. We’re excited to introduce the new head coach of the Harlan High School Green Dragons Cross Country team — Mrs. Alred! Coach Alred brings 16 years of experience in education, including 11 years as a classroom teacher and 5 as an elementary school counselor. She's been coaching cross country for the past five years and has been a passionate recreational runner since she was 20. She’s married to Matthew Alred and is a proud mom to two future Dragons, Andrew (6th grade at HMS) and Emmett (3rd grade at HES). Coach Alred is most inspired by watching young athletes grow, push their limits, and experience the thrill of earning their first medal or crushing a new PR. Congratulations to our 2025 Mt. Laurel Festival participants. Ella Lisenbee will be representing Harlan High School in this year's Mt. Laurel Festival as the Princess candidate. Ella Farley and Abbigaile Jones will also be representing Harlan High as attendants. The crowning of the 2025 Princess at the Princess Coronation will be Friday, May 23, at 7:00 pm at the Pineville High School (old) Gymnasium.
