Recently, our 3rd and 4th graders had an unforgettable experience—they participated in a live video call with Lauren Tarshis, the amazing author of the I Survived series! 📚✨
During the call, Mrs. Tarshis shared her journey of becoming a writer, offering students a behind-the-scenes look at how she creates her thrilling stories. 🖊️ She also took time to answer questions from our curious students, sparking their imaginations and encouraging a love of reading and writing. It was such a special opportunity for our students to connect with a beloved author and learn what it takes to bring stories to life.📖🐉

The 12 Days of Christmas are in full swing! This week, HES students showed their Christmas spirit, wore their holiday hair, and dressed as their favorite Christmas characters. Elfalfa has returned, and Mrs. Posey turned into an elf!

Reminder flyers were distributed at school, but they do not have to present the flyer to skate! The Harlan Center has a list of names, simply tell the attendant your name upon arrival.
