Harlan High School Sophomore students recently had the opportunity to take a campus tour of Lincoln Memorial University. After the guided tour, students had lunch on campus at the Chartwell Dining Hall. They wrapped up the visit by bowling a few games at Hillcrest Lanes, home of the LMU Railsplitters men's and women's bowling teams. #Dragons💚GEARUP
Applications are now being accepted for any senior girl interested in competing in the Miss Harlan County Scholarship Pageant. The pageant will take place on May 31, 2022. Miss Harlan County will receive a $1,500 scholarship. 1st Runner-Up will receive a $1,000 scholarship, and 2nd Runner-Up will receive a $500 scholarship. Applications should be returned to the Harlan Center by March 31, 2022 by 5:00PM. If you have any questions, please contact the Harlan Center at 573-4156. Applications can be found in the Senior Google Classroom or the High School Guidance Office.

UK is thrilled to announce new funding opportunities for students interested in biology or neuroscience. The S-STEM program provides four years of scholarship support for up to 15 qualifying incoming Biology or Neuroscience majors per year. The average scholarship amount is $5000/year, depending on financial need.
