Our Cross Country team continues to do amazing things! High School: Tanner Daniels: He ran in Louisville this weekend at the Trinity / Valkyrie Invitational. He had a personal PR day running the 5K in 15:46! 💫 Girls:  Harper Carmical had another season PR! 22:16! ✨ Boys: Our Varsity boys team finished under 23 minutes, and everyone hit their season PR! Leading the pack was Gibson Wilder at 20:51! 🐉🐉 Middle School: Girls: Zoe Lawson placed 11th in the middle school race.⭐️ Elementary: Girls:  Rayleigh Hoskins Placed 4th in the 1st grade group💚 The 2nd-3rd-grade girls were ready to race! They took home the first-place team trophy!  MJ Taylor: 2nd🏆 Lucy Miller: 4th 🏆 Shelby Parsons: 11th 🏆 Boys:  Tyler White placed 1st for the first grade group, Ryder Bailey 2nd, Jason Mills 7th🐉 Emmett Alred placed 7th for the 2nd-3rd grade group.💫 The 4th-5th-grade boys took home the first-place trophy. Braxton Sizemore placed 8th, and Ben Toll Placed 10th✨ We are so proud of our students!

THE HOUSE OF CHAMPIONS!!! HARLAN MIDDLE SCHOOL LADY DRAGONS ARE WINNERS OF THE 5/6 GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP! The Lady Dragons were the one seed for the tournament and capped off their undefeated season by defeating Jackson County in the championship game 46-13. 🏀🔥 Our 5th/6th Grade Girls' Basketball Team has earned the #1 seed in the 13th Region Conference Tournament today! 🏀 🔥 This morning, they will play the winner of the 1st game against Middlesboro and Barbourville. Homecoming - 5:15 PM (if you are a participant, please be at the football field no later than 4:45 to line up)

7/8 Grade Game - Following

👟 Our Cross Country team ran a wonderful weekend race in Wayne County! Congratulations to all of our runners! High School: Girls: Harper Carmical: Placed 8th with her Season PR 🐉🌟 Middle School: Girls: Our girls middle school team placed 2nd overall! They also had several step-up to help the middle school team. Julianne Miller and Shelbee Miller ran up to help Zoe Lawson and Josephine Toll create a team. Julianne Miller: Placed 4th - First middle school race Zoe Lawson: Placed 6th Boys: Our boys placed a close 3rd place, we missed 2nd by 3 points We had some 5th and 6th-graders step up to create a team this weekend! Shout out to Ben Toll, Aiden Browning, Trenton Turner, Xander Owens, and Canaan Bolton for helping out TL Miller and Aidan Burnette to create a team! Shout out to Carter White, who ran up Varsity this weekend and finished in 23:54! Way to go, Dragons! 🐉🐉

Since 2015, HHS freshmen have traveled to Pine Mountain Settlement School for an annual Challenge Day! The Class of 2029 participated in team-building activities to enhance communication skills, leadership opportunities, & problem-solving abilities. These 9th graders are ready for 4 transformative years at Harlan High School! The program was sponsored by FRYSC and the Harlan County Conservation District. #familyofdragons 🐉
