Students from Mrs. Goldey’s kindergarten class combined their author study with Eric Carle and learned about the lifecycle of a plant to finish their art and science projects just in time for Mother’s Day. Students read The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle, painted their own clay pots, put their flowers in, and covered it with soil. They had so much fun with this opportunity for vibrant learning. 🌷🪴

Our Leadership and General Intellect Gifted & Talented students recently had the opportunity to visit The Harlan Museum, where learning came to life beyond the classroom walls.
During their visit, students explored the rich history of Harlan County, gaining a deeper understanding of how our region originated and evolved over time. From early settlement stories to the cultural and economic influences that shaped the area, the experience provided meaningful, real-world connections to their learning.
Experiences like this help students grow in knowledge while also encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a greater appreciation for the community they call home. 🐉
