The talented Harlan Elementary School third and fourth-grade choir delivered a wonderful performance yesterday. The fourth-grade students showcased their exceptional skills by singing a "fourth-grade song" after their visit to the middle school. Bravo to these remarkable students for their outstanding musical talents! 🎶

First-grade students have been learning about traits that baby birds share with their parents during science time. They’ve also learned how the adults help the babies survive. Students created their own baby owls using recycled materials. Learning about traits that baby birds share with their parents is a “hoot!” 🦉🦉

Our Kindergarten play begins tonight at 6:00 pm! We are excited to see our students shine on stage! ✨🌟

Exploring Nature's Wonders: First graders embarked on a field trip adventure at Shekinah Village, where they played games, rode horses, and went fishing. 🐴🐟🎣

Second-grade students were “roaring” with excitement on their recent adventure at Zoo Knoxville. 🦁🦒

🎶 Mark your calendars for tomorrow night! 🎶 On Wednesday, May 8th, there will be a Spring Band Concert held in the Harlan High School Gymnasium at 7:30 PM. All bands, beginning, intermediate and high school will be playing. Come support these hard working students!!🐉

The learning doesn’t stop in Mrs. Stapleton’s science lab! Kindergarten has been learning about forces. After talking about the wind as an invisible force, the students worked hard to make and fly the kites they created. 🪁🪁🪁

There will be a parent meeting on Monday, May 6th, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the HES auditorium for parents of 3rd and 4th grade cheerleaders. Contact Coach Tommy Noe for more information.🐉💚

We‘re galloping with excitement at Harlan Elementary School's Kentucky Derby celebration! Our students proudly paraded and raced their stick horses and completed derby STEAM learning activities, creating a memorable and exciting event celebrating tomorrow's Kentucky Derby! 🐎🐎🏇
