In our Digital Literacy classes, students had the opportunity to understand the significance of Black History Month. The research projects allowed students to explore the rich history, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals throughout history. Through digital resources and tools, they uncovered stories of resilience, innovation, and activism that have shaped our world. Students engaged with diverse perspectives and celebrated the cultural heritage of the Black community during this important month of reflection and learning.

🇺🇸 In the dual-credit course combining HIS 109 with AP US History, students embarked on a collaborative journey to unravel the complexities of Manifest Destiny and westward expansion. This activity aimed to cultivate critical thinking skills, historical analysis, and teamwork among students.
The project commenced with students forming groups, each tasked with the responsibility of dissecting a curated selection of primary sources that delved into various facets of Manifest Destiny. These sources ranged from letters and speeches to songs, government documents, and artwork from the period. The diverse nature of the primary sources ensured a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted perspectives surrounding westward expansion.
Analyzing the primary sources was not merely an academic exercise; it was an opportunity for students to connect with the past on a personal level.
