The game went back and forth from start to finish, and after trailing by four late in the fourth quarter, the Dragons stayed locked in, fought through the pressure, and finished strong to secure the win. Students in Dr. Saylor’s English Three class recently took part in a high-energy Socratic Seminar as part of their Literature & The Modern World unit. Students tackled big questions about artificial intelligence and its impact on learning, ethics, creativity, and society. Each student presented evidence-based arguments using their annotated text, while classmates responded with rebuttals. The activity was student-led, with a little extra excitement coming from multiple chances to win a few mystery prizes! 🐉 #StudentVoice #ThinkingInAction

Harlan Independent School District will have an early dismissal on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and no school on Friday, January 23, 2026, to allow students and families the opportunity to travel and support the Harlan High School Boys Basketball Team as they represent the 13th Region in the All “A” State Tournament in Owensboro, Kentucky.

• Sunshine Preschool: Normal morning session. No afternoon session.
• Harlan Elementary School: Dismissal at 11:35 AM.
