💚🐉 Tomorrow our district is taking time to celebrate the incredible KSA achievements of our Dragons! The Academic Celebration will take place in the High School Gym at 9:30 AM, where we will recognize our Golden and Silver Dragons as well as classes scoring in the Top 10 statewide on their assessments.

Across Harlan Independent Schools, our students and staff have worked hard—and Thursday will be a moment to honor that effort and inspire continued success. We can’t wait to share this exciting day with our Dragon family!

📐✨ Math Meets Art in Algebra I! ✨📐

Mrs. Huebner’s Algebra I students have been hard at work completing a slope graphing stained glass project, and the results are amazing! Using their knowledge of slope, lines, and graphing, students designed vibrant “stained glass” creations that brought math to life in a fun and creative way.

This project not only strengthened their algebra skills but also helped them practice real-life problem-solving, precision, and design, the kind of skills they’ll use far beyond the classroom.

We’re proud of their hard work, creativity, and the beautiful math-based art they created!

Congratulations to the winners of the Turkey in Disguise art contest for the Clash of Classes! The following students earns class points for their creativity!

🦅🇺🇸 AP U.S. History Spotlight! 🇺🇸🦅 Today in Mrs. Freyer’s AP U.S. History class, students stepped back in time for a special “Founders Brunch”! Each student selected an influential founding mother or father from early American history, researched their life story, and explored their impact on the creation of our nation. Then, taking their learning to the next level, students dressed in character and joined their “fellow countrymen and women” for a lively historical brunch discussion! Students were also excited to demonstrate their knowledge to Superintendent Jennifer Parsons. This engaging activity allowed students to showcase their 📚 Research Skills 🗣️ Communication Skills 🎨 Creativity & Character Interpretation We’re proud of the hard work and enthusiasm our APUSH students put into bringing history to life. #familyofdragons🐉
