From HHS to Higher Education HHS juniors toured the University of Kentucky campus today! During their visit, students explored the Pigman College of Engineering, the William T. Young Library, the new dormitories, and experienced campus life firsthand. School Counselor Zach Dixon stated, “At HHS, we focus on our students, their education, their future, and the endless possibilities ahead. We are committed to getting our students college ready by providing meaningful opportunities to explore campus life, learn about academic programs, and begin envisioning their future after high school.” Murtaza Hussain, a Harlan High School Governor’s Scholar Program candidate, shared, “Our trip to UK was extremely beneficial because it gave us a real glimpse of college life, especially the practical side of it—things like tuition, housing, and scholarships. Seeing the campus in person helped me picture how I might fit in there someday, and the variety of opportunities, clubs, and connections at UK made a strong impression on me.” We are proud to support our students as they prepare for bright futures.
