HES 4th-grade students took an exciting trip to 4H Environmental Camp at Martin’s Fork Lake this week! ♻️🌳

🏀🏀🏀Our 3rd/4th grade girls basketball team had back to back victories recently. Against WB Muncy, our girls won 28-2. Kelsey Myers poured in 9 points, Everly Freyer had 8 points, Julianne Miller added 7 points, while Lilli Taylor and Blakelee Hoskins each added 2 points of their own. Against Barbourville, we had a 37-2 victory. Julianne Miller knocked down 12 points, Everly Freyer sunk in 6 points, Piper Hearld added 5 points, Blayne Brock and Mckenzie Jarvis each had 4 points, while Josie Bennett added 2 points and Kristie Engle added 1 point. Way to go, girls! 🏀🏀🏀

🏈Our football team played hard against Bell County, with Colt Sullivan scoring a touchdown! 🏈
📣The 3rd and 4th-grade cheerleaders took to the sidelines to cheer on our team and did a fantastic job! 📣
🐉The Dancing Dragons took the field with a great performance! 🐉

Harlan Elementary School will host our annual Mother/Son (Mamas and Cowboys) event on September 28, 2024. The event will take place at the Harlan Center from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. for pictures.
The cost of the event will be as follows:
$45 for Mother and Son
$25 for each extra son
(Must be a K-4 student at HES)
$25 extra female
(Stepmom, aunt, cousin, family friend)
The cost will cover admission to the event, food, and one 5x7 (mother & son)
Forms and payments are due no later than September 20th.🤠🤠
🍦 First-grade perfect attendance students enjoyed their ice cream sundae today! We had 155 students with perfect attendance and finished August with a 96% attendance rate!! Way to go, Dragons! Keep up the excellent work!!🐉🐉
