 Harlan Independent Café Dining Project

The Harlan Independent Board of Education is accepting sealed bids for the Café Dining Project. Interested bidders shall submit a sealed bid no later than 2:00 PM EST, Thursday, December 9th, 2021 to Charles Morton, Superintendent, Harlan Independent Board of Education, 420 E. Central St., Harlan, KY 40831. Specifications, bid forms and special conditions of bidding may be secured  at https://bit.ly/HarlanCafe or in the Superintendent’s office by contacting Emily Clem, School Food Service Director or Emily.clem@harlanind.kyschools.us (606) 573-8700 or at the Harlan Independent Board of Education, 420 E. Central Street, Harlan, KY office prior to the designated time in this invitation and none will be received or accepted thereafter. Proposers must comply with the Kentucky Department of Education Kentucky Administrative regulations and specifically, 702 KAR 4:160. Bids received after this date will not be accepted. The Harlan Independent Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. 

The Harlan Independent Board of Education will receive sealed bids in the office of the Food Service Director of Harlan Independent Schools, Friday, November 19th, 2021 until Thursday December 9th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Cafeteria Furniture and graphics for the walls. Specifications, bid forms and special conditions of bidding may be secured in the Superintendent’s office by contacting Emily Clem, School Food Service Director or Emily.clem@harlanind.kyschools.us  or at the Harlan Independent Board of Education, Administrative Office Building, 420 E. Central Street, Harlan, KY office prior to the designated time in this invitation and none will be received or accepted thereafter.  The Harlan Independent Board of Education reserves the right to make an award to an individual vendor (by each item, by groups of items, or for all items to be bid) and to reject any and all bids in whole or in part if in its judgment the best interests of schools are not being served.  The Harlan Independent Board of Education reserves the right to waive informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the board.  The lowest and/or best bidders will be designated for contract purposes subject to final agreement between the two parties (Harlan Independent Board of Education and designated distributors).

Project: New cafeteria tables and graphics for the walls. Needed seating capacity 275 to 325

Intent:  To provide Harlan Ind. students a new cafeteria experience with new tables and new graphics for the walls while celebrating their school colors and theme.

 Specifications to Bid

1.     Site visit is strongly encouraged. School 8am until 2pm each day while bid is open. By appointment only.

2.     Include table design for seating and graphics design for walls. Must fit space.

3.     Number listed of wheelchair tables.

4.     Must list seating capacity.

5.     Must list total price of project including freight and installing turnkey set up. Turnkey means you will set up table by design and put graphics on wall. Project pricing must separate café furniture and graphic design/install.
