Students experienced various team-building activities to understand the importance of working together and having a positive attitude, as well as the merits of planning ahead, setting goals, and cooperation. Lillie Carver (3rd place), Priscilla Stewart (8th), McKenzie Petrey (13th), Zoe Lawson (22nd), Josephine Toll, Natalie Adams, and Vivian Smith led Harlan to a 2nd place finish overall in the grades 4-6 girls race.
HMS Students Cooper Thomas (13th place), Michael Lindsey, Landon Traylor, Harper Carmical, Juliana Damaa, T.L. Miller, Mason Raleigh, Jett Luttrell, and Carson Yount also had strong finishes in today’s race.

🏈 🏈 🏈 Congratulations to the HMS Football team on a huge victory against Middlesboro earlier this week! The Green Dragons defeated the Yellow Jackets by a score of 30-26 to win their second consecutive game!

Harlan Elementary Staff would like to celebrate with you each Friday during the month of September by inviting grandparents to eat breakfast with their grandchild. We have designated each Friday to a certain grade level:
Friday, September 8th- Kindergarten
Friday, September 15th-1st Grade
Friday, September 22-2nd Grade
Friday, September 29th- 3rd & 4th Grade
You may join your grandchild at 7:50a.m. in the HES Cafeteria. Breakfast is $3.00 for adults. 🐉🐉🐉
