Since 2015, HHS freshmen have traveled to Pine Mountain Settlement School for an annual Challenge Day! The Class of 2029 participated in team-building activities to enhance communication skills, leadership opportunities, & problem-solving abilities. These 9th graders are ready for 4 transformative years at Harlan High School! The program was sponsored by FRYSC and the Harlan County Conservation District. #familyofdragons 🐉
Mrs. Freyer's class celebrated their annual Big Thursday this week with team building and fun! Big Thursday, a concept created by a former student (shout out to Kevin Thomas Lee), is an opportunity to build social and collaborative skills that students need as they work together throughout the school year. It's bringing the "social" to social studies!
