The wait is almost over and we can't wait to open our doors to our Family of Dragons!
The Harlan Independent Schools will open their doors to K-12 students on Wednesday, August 17th.
Harlan Independent Schools board members Matt Nunez, Will Miller, Debby Howard, Virgil Eversole, and Cindy Allison will join a host of others to commemorate this significant investment into our community and to the future of Harlan.
We invite the community to the newly expanded and upgraded cafe on Tuesday, August 16th at 11:30 for an open house/ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of this phase of work.
Lunch will be provided and visitors may check out the new and improved instructional spaces across the district.

🌞 Sunshine School would like to welcome back Rebecca Rodriguez to the Dragon family! Rebecca is a 2022 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree. She is currently enrolled at the Cumberlands in the Masters in Art of Teaching program for early childhood and elementary education. Rebecca has been a part of the Dragon Family for some time now. She is married to Harlan High School Alumnus, Coach Johnny Rodriguez, and is the mother of three Harlan Dragons: Eli, Malachi, and Jordan. She has served our district for more than 6 years as an assistant at Sunshine Preschool.
