60 HES students won prizes for participating in the February Family Time Challenge sponsored by FRYSC! Great work to all the families who read together and ate dinner together (without screens) throughout the month of February! A few of the winners are pictured below with their new books.
✨ The stars aligned for 1st - 6th-grade students as they experienced the SkyDome Planetarium yesterday. Students entered the 36' diameter dome and viewed the night sky from a unique perspective as they learned about constellations, planets, galaxies, and our solar system. Our favorite constellation is Draco, the dragon! The program was sponsored by FRYSC.

Congratulations to Gracie Hensley and Abigail Wynn on their selection for FRYSCKY Legislative Page Days! Gracie and Abigail traveled to Frankfort to spend a day touring the capital, meeting state leaders, and serving as pages during legislative sessions. Representative Adam Bowling hosted Gracie in the House of Representatives, and Senator Johnnie Turner hosted Abigail in Senate Chambers.
"Page Day gave me a great opportunity to learn more about Kentucky's government. It broadened my mind and showed me new possible career paths." said Gracie.
"I really enjoyed this opportunity to visit the Capitol in Frankfort, Kentucky. I loved seeing the law process, and I’m so excited about my very own political career!" said Abigail.
