Congratulations to Bryson Lee for placing 2nd in the state in the Jim Claypool Conservation Essay Contest. The contest educates students on soil, water, forestry and wildlife conservation. In his essay, The Death Aquatic, Bryson discussed the need to protect our water resources, which correlates to his career goals in the field of marine biology. The Dragons will continue district play with two games against Middlesboro. They will finish off the week with a home game against Knox Central and then travel to Williamsburg. Good luck, Big Green! 🐉
⚾️ The Harlan Middle School Green Dragons have a busy week. The Dragons will host Bell County Monday night for 8th grade night and then travel to New Harlan on Tuesday. On Friday, they will wrap-up their regular season with the last home game of the year against Cumberland. 🐉

On April 6th, Alan Curtsinger, with the Dairy Alliance visited Harlan High School to train cafeteria staff and allow students and staff to same Moo Brew Iced Coffee. Moo Brew contains 8 oz. of milk, and will soon be offered to increase milk consumption and breakfast participation among high school students. The equipment to serve the coffee will be purchased through a grant with the Dairy Alliance. Results were very positive, and students are excited that this should be a breakfast option by the end of April!! ☕️🧋
