As February comes to an end, don’t forget about the February Family Time Challenge! Harlan FRYSC & PRI encourage all Harlan Elementary students to participate by filling out their calendars. ✅ Mark 10 days when your child read for at least 10 minutes (alone or with you). ✅ Note 3 times your family ate dinner together with no electronics. Completed calendars are due by March 3—turn yours in to win a free book! If you need an extra copy, pick one up at the HES office. Make these last days of February count with family time and reading! 📚🐉

Free Harlan Student Ticket Challenge for the Girls 52nd District Championship Game. The Harlan Lady Dragons will take on the HC Black Bears on Thursday, February 27th at 7:00PM at Harlan High for a chance to cut down the nets and be crowned 52nd District Champions. As a result of some generous donations, we will award the students from one of our schools with free tickets for the game. The school with the highest two-day attendance percentage will win free tickets for their entire school. To be eligible for a free ticket, a student must be at school all day (no tardies) on Wednesday and Thursday, February 26th and 27th. Student tickets are $8. We will announce the winning school on Thursday afternoon along with instructions for the winning school on how to get into the game. Today's attendance rate: Harlan Elementary - 93% Harlan Middle -93% Harlan High - 94% The competition starts tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26th.

Reminder: Harlan Elementary School will be celebrating, "Read Across America" March 3-7th. The library will be hosting a book fair that week with extended hours on March 4th for families from 3:00-6:00pm.

The girls' teams will kick off the tournament tonight with two great match-ups at 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Followed by the first round of the boys' games tomorrow night. 🎟️. Amazing news at HHS! 🐉 The HHS Academic Team achieved remarkable success at the Regional Governor’s Cup Competition this past weekend, securing second place overall and earning a spot at the State Finals next month in Louisville, KY. The students showcased exceptional talent across multiple categories, solidifying HHS’s reputation for academic excellence! Individual and Team Achievements:     •    Math: 1st Place – Isaiah Sage     •    Social Studies: 4th Place – Audrey Goss     •    Language Arts: 5th Place – Audrey Goss; 3rd Place – Salena Amro     •    Composition: 5th Place – Carley Thomas; 3rd Place – Abbie Jones; 1st Place – Harlan Marietta     •    Future Problem Solving: 2nd Place – Harlan High School Team     •    Quick Recall: 4th Place – Harlan High School Team     •    Overall Award: 2nd Place – Harlan High School “This group of students has shown incredible dedication and passion for learning.
