💚🍳 Day 4 of Read Across America Week at Harlan Elementary was egg-cellent! 💚🍳 Yesterday, our school was a sea of green as students and staff dressed up to celebrate Green Eggs and Ham! From bright green shirts to fun accessories, everyone showed their Seuss spirit in style. 💚✨ A big THANK YOU to all our amazing readers and supporters who continue to make this week so special. 🐉 Great things are happening at HMS! Students are being immersed in vibrant learning experiences as we buckle down with our eyes towards testing. It's Operation:Finish right now at HMS! -Students in Mr. Varner's classes worked collaboratively to create presentations over the Zhou and Shang Dynasties of Ancient China! Students also explored the landscape of China through Google Map Exploration! -Students in Mrs. Howard's classes studied digital and analog waves to see which type of transmission was more reliable! Students were immersed in the experience throughout the entire class and worked together to record and analyze data! -Students in Mrs. Jackson's Friday club got to create and personalize their own slime! These are just some of the many great things going on at HMS!

Audree Smith was the first student to turn in her Celebrate Reading challenge, which she picked up from the library table. She received a complimentary book for excelling in the challenge. 🐉📚Day 2 of the Book Fair was a huge success! We had so many excited readers come through, and it’s been amazing to see students light up when they find the perfect book. A special shoutout to David, a determined kindergarten student who came in yesterday, carefully wrote down all the books he wanted all by himself, and then returned today to get them! His excitement for reading was truly heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who has supported the Book Fair so far—we can’t wait to see what Day 3 brings!📖

📚🐉The first day of the Book Fair at Harlan Elementary was a huge success! Students were excited to explore all the new books, and the energy in the library was contagious. A special highlight of the day was a visit from some beloved book characters, who not only brought smiles to our faces but also picked out some great books to take home. From The Cat in the Hat to Dog Man to Junie B. Jones, their presence made the day even more magical. It was a fantastic start to the Book Fair, and we can’t wait for the rest of the week! 🎟️ 🏀 Ticket Information for Tuesday night's Lady Dragon Regional game 🐉 🎟️

There will be no Dragons Beyond the Bell on Tuesday, March 4th nor Thursday, March 6th this week. 🐉

🐉 The months of March and April are going to be March Madness Attendance Months! Grade levels will go against each other throughout the next two months to see which grade has the best attendance! It is critical for all of our students to be in school everyday as we push towards the finish line!
