Congratulations to the Harlan High School Lady Dragons on defeating Jackson County tonight in the All A 13th Region basketball tournament. The Lady Dragons will play in the 13th Region All A Championship tomorrow night at Middlesboro at 7:OO PM. Your Lady Dragons will take on the Middlesboro Yellowjackets.
We want to encourage everyone to wear your GREEN and WHITE and come out to support our Lady Dragons and cheerleaders. To encourage attendance and participation, the school with the highest attendance tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14th will win free tickets for EVERY student in the school that ATTENDS the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Make sure you are at school and plan to make your way to Middlesboro to cheer on your Lady Dragons.
The winning school will be announced at 2:00 PM along with instructions for game entry.

📣 Important Announcement!
The HMS BETA Club Induction Ceremony that was scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled due to the HHS Girls making it to the Championship of the 13th Region All 'A' Tournament tomorrow night! We want to make sure everyone has the chance to go out and support the Lady Dragons while also getting the chance to make it to the induction ceremony at a later date!
We will announce the new date for our Induction Ceremony tomorrow!

Before Christmas break, Second grade students at Harlan Elementary got creative with a special at home project! They built amazing dioramas illustrating the various factors of a specific habitat, including living and non-living things. We’re so proud of their hard work, imagination, and dedication! 🐉 Great things are going on at HMS! Students in Mrs. Wheeler's class came back today from the break strong by making a commitment to the social contracts they had made in class at the beginning of the year. These social contracts are student created and are a way for students to take ownership in their classes. It is a commitment to hard work, respectful behavior, and acting in a way that creates a great classroom environment!
