Due to increasingly severe weather forecasts, HHS Homecoming will be rescheduled for October 11th vs. Knott County.
The HHS football game vs. Pineville will still take place on Saturday.
The Harlan Independent School District will be closed on Friday, September 27th, 2024. We will implement Dragon Day/ NTI Day 1. Students may access assignments through their Google Classroom or paper packets. Students have three school days to complete all assignments.
As always, teachers and staff are available to assist/support to completion of all work. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to your teacher or school. Grandparents' breakfast will be rescheduled for Friday, October 4th.
🐉 Due to the severe weather forecast, the Harlan high School football game vs. Pineville and Homecoming ceremony scheduled for Friday night have been move to Saturday. Homecoming will begin at 6:00 PM, and the game will kickoff at 7:30.
Should severe weather continue to be an issue Saturday, the homecoming ceremony will be postponed to October 11th before the game vs. Knott County.
🐉 After monitoring field conditions throughout the day and increasing amounts of afternoon rainfall, we have decided to reschedule tomorrow's Harlan Middle School Homecoming and football game against Middlesboro. We appreciate your understanding and support.
🐉 The HMS homecoming scheduled for tomorrow will proceed as planned unless severe weather conditions exist. If weather changes are severe, homecoming will be rescheduled for next Thursday's game against Williamsburg. We'll keep everyone updated if any changes are necessary!

Join us for a Halloween Dance on October 25th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the HES gymnasium. The cost is $5 per person, and concessions will be sold! Families are encouraged to attend! Costumes are not required. 👻👻🎃🎃

We will participate in our Annual Dragons Against Cancer walk on Thursday Oct. 10th at 1:30pm. To participate in the walk, each student needs to pay $1 and have a signed permission slip. The $1 is used to donate to the National Cancer Society. ALL proceeds from this event will be given to the National Cancer Society.
T-Shirts are also available for purchase this year. Orders and Money for shirts MUST be turned in by Friday, Sept. 27th in order to have them ordered and printed in time for our walk.
