Due to an unexpected plumbing and water issue in the district the Harlan Independent Schools will have no school on Thursday, April 18. This is not an NTI day. The Harlan Elementary School Derby Day celebrations will be on Friday, April 26th. 🐴🧲 🍳The annual HES Derby Breakfast will be served for 3rd and 4th grades. 🌹🐎Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students will participate in our 4th Annual Run for the Roses Derby race! 📸Parents may begin lining the streets downtown at 12:00. We look forward to seeing our students dressed in their Derby best and running their races for the roses! 🌹 👒🎩
🐉 Lady Dragons WIN! 🥎 It was a big night at the HHS Softball field as the Lady Dragons defeated the visiting Middlesboro Lady Jackets 13-10. The Big Green Nation was led offensively by Ella Farley and Gracie Hensley who both went 3-4 at the plate. Ella Lisenbee, Addison Jackson, Abbi Fields, and Ava Nunez each added several hits to pace the Lady Dragons. This makes the Lady Dragons 2-0 in District play!! 💪
