🎶🏴‍☠️ Congratulations to the HHS Marching Band! They received 4th place at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Regional Quarterfinals last Saturday. This placement qualifies the band for KMEA State Championships for the 14th consecutive time! The band will compete on Saturday, October 29th at 9:30 am at Roy Kidd Stadium on the campus of EKU. 🏈🐉 It's GAMEDAY, Dragons! Tonight our Green Dragons travel to Leslie County to take on the Eagles! Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm. #gobiggreen 🐉 **For the fans attending the game, Leslie County would like to give advanced notice of their new lighting system that uses game lights in a flashing sequence during pre-game and after dead ball situations on their football field.

Harlan Elementary School PTO Fall Festival Fundraiser 🐉 As a part of this fundraiser, we have asked each grade level to help with items needed for our silent auction. The silent auction will take place before the festival or anytime after the performances. All items should be turned into the office by Wednesday, November 2. Those are items are as follows:

Harlan Elementary 1st and 2nd grade students recently participated in the Plan Ahead Smiles program. Dental Hygienist Tracy Laughner presented a program focusing on the importance of good dental hygiene and oral health. Each group of students were excited to participate in the program and came away with some great information to help them take care of their teeth. They left the program with a SMILE on their faces.🪥😁

Doctora Weiner’s Spanish classes had the privilege to mix a little STEM project into their studies last week as they tested rockets made from straws and clay. 🚀 Each student had to develop their own rockets and test their launching abilities. After the experiment students had to provide a report written in español. #VamosDragones
