We are just days away from our HHS Track & Field/XC reunion where we will honor some of our most accomplished student-athletes in school history. Please join us on Friday, October 7th during Harlan High vs Lynn Camp football game where we will celebrate our school and state champions during halftime. Harlan High School has a long history of championship athletes who have combined to win 28 Championship Medals with 11 Individual State Champions. Harlan Elementary School‘s Cancer Walk is a fundraiser for the National Cancer Society. Students donated $1 to walk through town to raise awareness and show our support in the fight against cancer. Thank you to our Dragon families for supporting a wonderful cause. 💕🐉#fightlikeadragon

Mrs. Howard’s Kindergarten class is preparing for the Harlan Elementary School Cancer Walk! 💕

Students in Ms. Wilson’s Health & PE classes had a visit from Heather Saylor, an RN at Harlan ARH. Her presentation was called Brain Protectors and focuses on stroke signs and symptoms. Students learned B.E.F.A.S.T. to evaluate whether a person could be having a stroke or not. The presentation was very informative and engaging for the students. Each student received a certificate stating they became a “Certified Brain Protector” at the conclusion of the lesson.

The Harlan Elementary School Cancer Walk will take place this Friday, October 7, at 1:30 PM. Students must donate one dollar and return a permission slip to participate in the walk. If you purchased a shirt, please wear the t-shirt pictured or dress head to toe in pink! 💕

🎼 Congratulations to the HHS Band! They finished in 2nd place and won Best Percussion in Class A during preliminary competition on Saturday at the South Laurel Cardinal Classic. They finished in 3rd place out of all bands in finals competition on Saturday night. Great job, Green! 🐉 🎷

🏀🏀🏀 7th and 8th grade boys basketball tryouts will be tomorrow (Wednesday, October 5th) from 3:30 to 5:00 in the gym! 5th and 6th grade will have open gym on Thursday from 5-6:30 in the Elementary Gym and Tryouts will be on Friday from 3:30-5:30 in the Elementary Gym!
